Statistics

Why We Do This

According to UNICEF data, pneumonia remains the leading infectious cause of death among children under five, killing 2,400 children a day. Pneumonia accounted for 16 per cent of all under-five deaths, killing 920,000 children in 2015 and 880,000 in 2016. Most of its victims were less than 2 years old. Tayo Na! - In Filipino this expression means "Us Now!" Moreover, it is a call for us to do something now. Not in the future, but now. This is exactly what we are doing with Give It a Shot. We want to lower these pneumonia statistics now, not in fifty years.
